Full Planning & Building Control Package for Double Side & Single Storey Rear Extension

About the Project

This project involved a two storey side extension and single storey rear extension to a semi detached house in Huddersfield. The client required additional space for a growing family, but the proposal raised planning concerns in relation to the depth of the rear extension and the impact on neighbouring properties.

Plans Direct prepared and managed the full planning application, refining the design through the process to address concerns relating to privacy, outlook and scale. The final scheme achieved a balanced design that provided the extra accommodation required while remaining appropriate to the site and its surroundings.

Following planning approval, Plans Direct also prepared the Building Regulations package to take the project forward to the next stage.
