Conversion from Taxi Base to a Desert & Shisha Lounge
About the Project
This project involved the conversion of a former taxi office and storage space into a dessert and shisha lounge in Bradford. The proposal required a careful planning strategy due to the nature of the use and the need to address likely concerns relating to noise, odour, ventilation and the overall suitability of the site for the proposed operation.
Plans Direct prepared and managed the planning process in two stages. The first application secured the change of use of the premises, establishing the principle of the new use. Following this, a second stage was progressed for the external alterations, including works to support the final operation and appearance of the unit.
Planning permission was successfully secured, allowing the premises to be brought forward for its new commercial use.
