Retrospective Planning Permission for Garden Wall Bradford

About the Project

This project involved securing retrospective planning permission for a front garden wall and porch extension in Bradford. The main issue was that aspects of the built scheme did not initially accord with the local design guidance, particularly in relation to the scale and appearance of the porch.

Plans Direct reviewed the development, refined the design approach, and prepared the retrospective planning application. Amendments to the roof form and the addition of glazing helped reduce the visual impact of the porch and allowed it to read as a more subservient addition to the house.

The revised scheme addressed the concerns raised and planning permission was successfully secured.
